Assistant Production Planner

SYSPAL LTD is the market leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of stainless steel and aluminum products. Job Summary

Key Stakeholder in a fast paced manufacturing facility, your role as Assistant Planner sits at the heart of the business. Ensuring the shop floor runs as smoothly and as efficiently as possible whilst managing, achieving and exceeding customer expectations.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day scheduling for all manufactured goods within the MRP system
  • Manage deadlines based on project expectations
  • Monitor and manage key stocks of finished goods and sub-assemblies through MRP
  • Using MRP proposals, identify & raise works orders in line with business needs
  • Collaborate with Production Managers and Team Leaders to ensure the best use of capacity, materials and shop floor space
  • Monitor the Supply flow reporting any material shortages or Bottlenecks


  • Understanding of the supply chain process
  • Knowledge of MRP Principles
  • 2 Years’ experience scheduling through MRP systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – In particular Excel
  • Worked in a Manufacturing Setting
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

Service & Installation Engineer

SYSPAL LTD are currently looking for an experienced Service and Installation Engineer. To undertake fitting, installation, repair and service on machinery and equipment i.e. conveyors, lifters, tippers and other capital equipment including Hydro therapy machines both at customer’s sites UK, worldwide, and at company premises in Shropshire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site installation
  • Service and repair of machinery and equipment on customer sites
  • Fitting, wiring and assembly of products
  • Fault finding
  • Complete Site Reports using the Red Zebra Software
  • Complete Expenses following the correct procedure in a timely manner
  • Complete Van checks as required
  • Liaising with customers

Job Specifics

  • 40 hour basic week.
  • Weekend and evening work as required, including overnight stays and early starts (depending on job location and customer requirements etc;)

Design Engineer

Established in 1975, SYSPAL are leaders in the design and manufacture of Stainless Steel and Aluminium equipment for Food Processing & Pharmaceutical. SYSPAL are an exceptionally well resourced and highly regarded British manufacturer with many innovative products specified domestically, and internationally.

We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our design team producing bespoke machinery for hygiene-conscious industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing products from initial concept through to detail design using SolidWorks 3D CAD
  • Using existing standardised designs as a basis for configured/derived products
  • Using FEA simulation and manual calculations to verify design requirements
  • Specifying technical information for purchasing and manufacture
  • Producing detail drawings for manufacture using SolidWorks
  • Using the company ERP software to generate bills of materials and related documentation for purchasing and manufacture


  • HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Qualifications relating to IT and electrical design also an advantage


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience using 3D CAD. Computer literacy must be good generally
  • Experience designing sheet-metal and welded structural fabrications
  • Experience with electric motor drives. Pneumatic and hydraulic drive knowledge an advantage
  • Experience using simulation/calculations for design and development purposes
  • Experience designing for hygienic environments an advantage
  • Experience working with quality systems and regulatory affairs an advantage
