Current Vacancies at SYSPAL:

We are looking for a responsible Quality Inspector to check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business to guarantee high-quality output through random checks on equipment produced for customers to the final approval steps. You will have the confidence to remove items that do not meet company specifications from the production line and adjust ensure the error does not occur again. Be responsible for ensuring that products meet company requirements and are manufactured according to specifications. Reporting/supporting directly to the QHSE Manager the primary goal is to ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment. That way our customers will enjoy high-quality merchandise so that we can achieve long-term success. The ideal candidate will possess an attention to detail and will be reliable and committed spending at least 80% of their time on the shopfloor. In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential however training and guidance can be provided.

Key responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the company quality standard ISO 9001:2015 are adhered to and maintained.
  • Ensure that non-conforming products, services, and processes are investigated alongside the QHSE Manager, and appropriate corrective actions are implemented and audit the effectiveness of the actions.
  • To provide a Quality customer interface and ensure that their requirements are understood and satisfied, including customer resolution.
  • Development and reporting of Key Performance Indicators and undertaking trend analysis.
  • Promote a Quality, Health, Safety, and good environment culture throughout the organisation.
  • To liaise with Production Managers to improve our manufacturing process.
  • To support and advise Production/Engineering and other business areas as required.
  • Participation in external audits by customers or accrediting bodies.
  • Assist in the continual improvement of the QMS.
  • Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)
  • Maintain records of inspection, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the QHSE Manager.
  • Read test procedures and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies.
  • Approve or reject raw materials.
  • Inspection of products for customers.
  • Measuring objects, running tests to identify defects and comparing products against a model to ensure everything meets high standards before leaving the manufacturing line.
  • Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Sound knowledge of quality standard ISO9001:2015 and ISO1090.
  • Knowledge of ISO45001 would be preferred but not essential.
  • A Professional qualification in Quality such as Practitioner Certificate is desired.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in a similar industry.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and the use of quality methodologies i.e. 5S, LEAN, PPAP, Six Sigma etc.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal presentation.
  • Computer literate in particular Microsoft office, word, excel.
  • A team player who is motivated and strives for excellence.
  • Attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
  • Responsible and trustworthy.

We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our design team producing bespoke lifting machinery for hygiene-conscious industries. As part of the Mechanical Handling department, you will design products from initial concept through to detail design using SolidWorks 3D CAD.

Key responsibilities:

  • Using existing standardised designs as a basis for configured/derived products.
  • Using FEA simulation and manual calculations to verify design requirements.
  • Specifying technical information for purchasing and manufacture.
  • Producing detailed drawings for manufacture using SolidWorks.
  • Using the company ERP software to generate bills of materials and related documentation for purchasing and manufacture.

Reporting to the Lead Control Systems Engineer, primarily involved in the design and ongoing development of equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes. To ensure that the systems and processes operate effectively, efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities:

  • Programming PLCs & HMIs.
  • Programming Safety controllers.
  • Circuit Design & Selecting components.
  • Ensure that Health and Safety requirements are being met.
  • Ensure that the design is within the specified budget.
  • Ensure the successful completion of a given project within strict deadlines.
  • Work within the company procedures.
  • Designing and developing controls for Electrical/Hydraulic systems.
  • Provide Electrical controls support to customers and other departments as required.
  • Skills and Experience:

  • An electrical engineering qualification, minimum HNC.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regs an advantage.
  • Controls experience (PLCs, Drives, Motors & Pumps).
  • Computer literacy.
  • Working knowledge of electrical & mechanical engineering and fabrication.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuit diagrams and electrical fault finding.

We are looking to recruit a TESTING OPERATIVE in a full-time position to ensure our machinery is tested and inspected to the highest standard prior to delivery to our customers. The successful candidate will be required to setup up the system (basic plumbing and electrical connections), follow a testing procedure, fault find if necessary and breakdown/prepare the system ready for the packaging team. You will be working alongside our existing testing operative where you will gain the necessary skills and experience to plumb (PVC pipe), conduct functionality tests, pinpoint defects and breakdown the systems ready for packing. Minimal experience is required.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Conduct functionality testing of completed units and sub assembly components
  • Fault find down to component level using test results to pinpoint failures/defects
  • Ensure the testing area is kept clean and organised in an efficient manner
  • Oversee and maintain the water quality (PH, chemical balance) of the storage tanks
  • Have the ability to work on their own initiative after time
  • Provide necessary feedback to the assembly team when required
  • Complete work orders in line with customer requirements
  • Breakdown and empty systems of water prior to packaging
  • Involvement in the continuous improvement initiatives within the test area
