Welder/Fabricator

An exciting opportunity exists for Welder/Fabricators looking for their next challenge. As a result of our continued success we are looking to recruit Welders to join our friendly and supportive team.

No Shifts / No Weekends / No nights. To enjoy that important work / life balance you will work Monday to Thursday 7.00am – 4.30pm and 7.00am – 11.00am on a Friday.

What you'll do:

As a Welder at SYSPAL you will be a part of a team of 22 welders who fabricate and weld bespoke stainless steel and aluminium products using sheet, plate, tube and machined components (1mm – 30mm). You will read and interpret engineering drawings to determine best fabrication and welding methods. You will have direct access to the solid model within your own weld pen with full training on the software given. No paper drawings!

You are keen to work as part of a team and you play your part in producing high quality products. You take a pro-active approach to work and are able to work independently when required. The successful candidate will have a good level of TIG welding experience.

Project Engineer

An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Engineer looking for their next challenge. As a result of our continued success we are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join our fast growing Mechanical Handling Division who are market leaders in the design & manufacture of feed systems and bulk handling equipment for the food & pharmaceutical industry.

What you'll do:

Responsible for coordinating with all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and final buy-off phases as well as ensuring the project remains within budget in order to meet the requirements of customer needs. You will work under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management.

Senior Finance Assistant

As the Senior Finance Assistant you will support the Accounting Manager & Head of Finance in all aspects of the daily input of accounting information & the production & maintenance of accurate & timely accounting records.

  • Balance sheet control account reconciliations: Payroll Control Account Reconciliations, HP & long term liabilities controls, Sundry Creditors, Debtors & Creditors. 
  • Monthly account analysis - P&L overheads - monthly analysis & checking of expenditure. 
  • Freight: Management of freight recharged to customer v costs incurred   
  • Deposit account - manage deposits invoiced & paid & stage billing reconciliations.
  • Customer Project Accounts: Updating & Reconciliation’s (McPhillips, CM Processing etc.)
  • Goods Received Not Invoiced Maintenance & Control.      
  • Expenses: Checking & entering onto ERP system.
  • Credit Card - check & reconcile & post to IFS.

Design Engineer (Mechanical Handling)

We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our design team producing bespoke machinery for hygiene-conscious industries.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing products from initial concept through to detail design using SolidWorks 3D CAD.
  • Using existing standardised designs as a basis for configured/derived products.
  • Using FEA simulation and manual calculations to verify design requirements.
  • Specifying technical information for purchasing and manufacture.
  • Producing detail drawings for manufacture using SolidWorks.
  • Using the company ERP software to generate bills of materials and related documentation for purchasing and manufacture.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Qualifications

HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Qualifications relating to IT and electrical design also an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience using 3D CAD. Computer literacy must be good generally.
  • Experience designing sheet-metal and welded structural fabrications.
  • Experience with electric motor drives. Pneumatic and hydraulic drive knowledge an advantage.

Assembly Fitter - Hydro Physio

 

An exciting opportunity exists for an Assembly Fitter looking for their next challenge. As a result of our continued success we are looking to recruit an Assembly Fitter to join our friendly and supportive team.

What you'll do:

As an Assembly Fitter at SYSPAL you will be part of a small team of 4 fitters who assemble and fit aquatic therapy treadmills for humans and canines using fabricated and machined components. You will read and interpret engineering drawings to determine best assembly and fitting methods. You will have direct access to the solid model within the build area with fill training on the software given. No paper drawings! 

 What we're looking for:

The ideal candidate should have electrical and basic plumbing experience, and maybe come from a maintenance background and have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Formal engineering qualifications necessary – ONC/HNC, NVQ, City and Guilds or equivalent
  • Mechanical fitting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • 18th edition would be an advantage
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good time keeping and punctual
  • The ability to use own initiative is essential
  • Must be able to work both within a team and as an individual

Buyer

Responsible for procurement of sub-contract processes, liaising directly with design and production facilities. Create and maintain market and price trend monthly analysis report.

Office Based Functions

  • Maintaining and administrating supplier data
  • Obtaining quotations (both production and non-production)
  • Assist with chasing outstanding orders
  • Create and expedite outside processing order processing
  • Raising purchasing orders in line with system and company requirements, ensuring price, quantity and delivery expectations are adhered to

Non Office Based Functions

  • Preparation of samples for RFQ`s

Mechanical Handling Fitter

An exciting opportunity exists for a Mechanical Handling Fitter looking for their next challenge. As a result of our continued success we are looking to recruit a Fitter to join our friendly and supportive team.

Working from solid models on screens on the shop floor, building quality handling equipment for the food industry. Equipment involves lifting and tipping, Conveyors, Weighing and mixing equipment. Some site installation work maybe required on occasion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a dedicated team supporting the team leader and Production Manager
  • Mechanical Fitting and assembly work to a high standard in line with solid models
  • Testing and quality control of mechanical handling equipment
